Command Sergeant Major Robert L. Parker II

Command Sergeant ParkerCommand Sgt. Maj. Robert L. Parker II is a native of Chebeague Island, Maine. He entered the Army in February of 1991 and attended Military Police basic and advanced individual training at Fort McClellan, Alabama.

His positions and assignments include: patrolman and team driver, 127th MP Company, Hanau, Germany; patrolman, team leader, squad leader and Special Reaction Team noncommissioned officer in charge, 572nd MP Company, Fort Ritchie, Maryland; civilian police liaison, U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Ritchie, Maryland; U.S. Army Recruiter, Waterville, Maine; squad leader, platoon sergeant and operations NCO, 17th MP Detachment, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; senior drill sergeant, C Company, 795th MP Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; first sergeant, A Company, 787th MP Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; operations NCO, 728th MP Battalion, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; operations NCO, 978th MP Company, Fort Bliss, Texas; operations sergeant major, 93rd MP Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas; command sergeant major, Task Force South (Provisional) MP Battalion, Basrah, Iraq; sergeant major, Directorate of Emergency Services, U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Bliss, Texas; operations sergeant major, Provost Marshal Office, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; operations sergeant major, Provost Marshal Office, III Corps, Fort Hood, Texas, and security and protection sergeant major, Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

His deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve.

He has graduated from numerous military schools including Air Assault School, Special Reaction Team School, Equal Opportunity Leader Course, Army Recruiter Course, Drill Sergeant School, First Sergeant Course, Conventional Physical Security Course, Anti-Terrorism Program Manager Course, Law Enforcement Senior Leader Course, Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education Course, and the U. S. Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 58). Additionally, he completed the State of Maine Law Enforcement Pre-Service Course, and holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

His awards include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal with three bronze oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal with three bronze leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with two bronze oak leaf clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal (8th award), National Defense Service Medal with one bronze service star, Iraq Campaign Medal with one bronze service star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 4, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral 4, Army Meritorious Unit Citation, Driver’s Badge with Wheel Device, German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (Silver), Air Assault Badge, Army Recruiter Gold Badge, and the Army Drill Sergeant Badge. He is also a Sergeant Audie Murphy Club inductee.
