MSG Travis F. Taylor

MSG Travis F. Taylor enlisted in the United States Army and reported for active duty on 19 July1983.  He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland as a Quartermaster Chemical Repair Specialist (63J).

MSG Taylor’s previous assignments include Quartermaster Chemical Repair Specialist, 8th Infantry Division, Dexheim, Germany; Advance Individual Instructor, HHC 16th Ordnance Battalion, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland; Shop Foreman, 520th Maintenance Company, Camp Humphreys, Korea.  Section Supervisor, 414th Signal Company, Mannheim, Germany; Army Recruiter, Port Charlotte, Florida; Maintenance Control Supervisor and First Sergeant, 507th Corps Support Group, Fort Bragg; 59th Ordnance Brigade S3 NCOIC and MSG Taylor’s recent assignment was the Command Sergeant Major of the 832nd Ordnance Battalion, Fort Lee, Virginia.  MSG Taylor is currently the Garrison Command Sergeant Major for Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. MSG Taylor is pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management through American International University.  His military education includes Senior Leader’s Course, (Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course); Advanced Leader’s Course (Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course); Warrior Leader’s Course (Primary Leadership Development Course); Recruiter School and Instructor Training Course.  MSG Taylor’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (3rd)  Meritorious Service Medal (2nd ); Joint Service Commendation Medal; Army Commendation Medal (2nd); Joint Service Achievement Medal; Army Achievement Medal (6th); Army Good Conduct Medal (9th); Armed Forced Expeditionary Medal; National Defense Service Medal (2nd); Korean Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; NCO Professional Development Ribbon (4th); Overseas Ribbon (7th); the Mechanic’s and Driver’s Badge (2nd), and the NATO Medal.
