Education Services

The Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) manages the Education and Training for civilian employees, appropriated and non-appropriated fund employees.

  • Supervisors are responsible for updating Individual Development Plan (IDP’s) annually for each employee.
  • Employees request training via a SF 182.
  • The requested training is compared to the IDP and processed.
  • Upon return of the approved SF 182, the employee is now able to proceed with travel arrangements, if necessary.
  • Each employee is afforded an opportunity for 80 hours of training per fiscal year. This includes required training, such as Prevention of Sexual Harassment, Ethics, Consideration of Others, and Security Awareness training. Directorates are responsible for their training budget.
  • Employees can also receive free training through the new Army CBT Training, e-Learning. To access the new system: go to www.us.army.mil and follow the link to Self Service (left column of home page) > My Education > Army eLearning > Link to Register.
  • DHR is responsible for annotating all completed training in the employee training database.
